Garmin Tip gps is Cracking
In the summer I drop a fortune of time on my horse in the Colorado Wilderness Areas. And yes, I experience a manner of mounting the GPS unit on the dashboard of my gelding. Afterwards 4 years difficult service, my Garmin Legend quit. Improvements I found in my new Peak are impressive: color, faster satellite acquisition, and map orientation that matches the orientation of the unit. This lastly is possible alone in the Summit which has the electronic compass lacking in other GPS models from Garmin. The commands are more intuitive and it works improve in timber. With the young cable and drivers that arrived with the Summit, I was able to employment my old MapSource CD to encumbrance contours.I purchased this GPS for hiking. The GPS quickly aquires satelites (Much more garmin etrex handheld gps apace than my antiquated Garmin III Plus). The Barometric altitude lineament is neat for anyone interested in hiking in the high country. Selfsame Accurate! The electronic ambit is a nice feature equally well.
