We love this Television! As advertised. Best HD picture designed for the money. After owning this specific TV (60″ model) for several weeks now I can say I’m delighted overall. When I observed the TV out of the box with all the factory default options I was very unhappy and thought I will have to return the tv screen. The picture was dim and the brightness would likely change back and forth from light to dark. Soon after playing with the adjustments a bit we were in a position to fix these issues. The photo quality is much better ones compared to the DLP TV this replaced. The greens are black and the colors are much far more crisp. I don’t have BluRay so I have no idea how it looks in full 1080p, but I’m pleased with the quality coming from my cable interconnection. Some comments make a complaint about the amount of temperature the unit generates, however haven’t noticed an issue with that even when adding my hand right on the TV. The one thing you need to do need to keep in mind before choosing this TV (or even any plasma I imagine) is glare. The particular screen is almost just like a mirror. If you have a new bright room you might be unhappy. Not that you Panasonic VIERA TC-P50S30 need to keep the room pitch black, but the more light you have arriving the more likely you are to discover some reflections on the screen.
